On some models of the Lenovo ThinkPad line of laptops, the Fn and Ctrl keys are inconveniently located in the opposite position of where they are on most keyboards. If you'd like, you can swap the function of these keys so that the Ctrl key becomes the Fn key and vice versa, using the instructions below.
- Open the Start menu, then type Vantage, then click the program icon for either Lenovo Vantage or Lenovo Commercial Vantage from Start Menu to open it. If you don't see it, you can install it via this link using the Microsoft store.
- On the left pane, hover over the Gear icon, then choose Input & Accessories
- Scroll down to Fn and Ctrl key swap.
- Enable this feature by switching the control to ON.
- The change will take effect immediately after closing the Vantage window. A system reboot is NOT required.
